Well I was hoping to get at least response but we are locked in now for August 8th. Hard to believe there are resorts that fellow TUGGERS have not been to. I will be sure to give a full report when I get back. Keeping my fingers crossed its okay!

The Beach Club at St. Augustine Beach, FL (1 floating week, purchased in 1982)
77,000 RCI points (Sunrise Ridge Resort, TN)
We stayed at the Villas, but it was many years ago so I didnt think I'd be much help to you. Our DD was in high school when we went and she is now 32! I know back then the unit was tired looking but we did enjoy our stay and loved the hot tub that was in a screened or glassed in enclosure off the livingroom. The area was very scenic and we took a steam train trip from nearby up to a small village that was on the border of GA & TN. We have a photo of DD, and her best friend who came with us, standing on the main street with one foot in GA and the other in TN. We also did a day trip into Atlanta to see the Olympics site and see the Coke museum.

I would stay there, based on the limited info I got from Googling and taking a look.
Of course it all depends on the quality of the cabin (or whatever) you get.
We're not necessarily campers or RV people, but I could talk my wife into a nice cabin on the river, or atop a N Georgia mountain.
Probably would have a blast. And nearby Ellijay Ga seems like a nice enough town.....5.5 miles away.

Thanks!! We are are about an 9 hour drive away and wanted to go somewhere in the mountains for hiking and other outdoor activity so hopefully it will be good. it definitely won't be a Marriott...it should be a decent, comfortable mountain place, though, nothing fancy at all, but restful and in beautiful
surroundings. I've never been but I have been around that area a few times. good luck and enjoy

I don’t think they have changed the mattresses since then either...LOL!! So far the only negative I can come up with. Hopefully my back survives the week
