I noticed quite a few ads on Redweek still being advertised on the website that are inside the 30 day requirement for adding a guest name. Is Marriott not enforcing the guest form rule or has Redweek just neglected to take them down? Secondly, is MVC enforcing or tracking the maximum of 20,000 points being transferred to an account? Thanks

If you read the FAQs in your account, you'll see that the 30 day rule for guest certificates is not a hard cut off, so it appears that nothing has actually changed, relating to that, since the form cane in. This is confirmed by posts on TUG from people making changes as late as 5 days before.

I've not seen any reports about enforcement of the 20k transfer in limit, but as they have to do the transfer I assume it's being applied. Do you have any experience or information otherwise?

The 20K is also not a hard and fast rule. They will look at it on a case by case basis. Basically, if you are a point broker trying to transfer more than 20K in points into an account, they will block it. If you are an owner doing this on a one time basis to book a big trip, tour or cruise, they may possibly allow it.

Just to see how long it would take, I added my partner's name to a Club Points reservation I have later this year. I got a new confirmation back showing both names about 36 hours after I submitted the form. Take that for what it's worth.

I had it enforced in for 2023 and 2024. I am one of the more recent point renters starting it in 2022 for 2023 use. I had no clue how to figure out how many points were rented until a rental was not allowed to go through in 2023 for 2023 use. When I called up to find out why, I was over the limit with a little less than 21k. The rep was nice enough to explain to me on how to figure it out from my account. In 2024, I am at the limit 20k. I am 50 points short to book a week at the Grande Ocean the week before Christmas (12/14-12/21). I have 700 and it requires 750. They would not allow the points transfer. I booked 6 days instead unit I saw that from 12/15 to 12/22 requires only 675 points. I booked that instead. 25 wasted points in 2024. I can live with this.

Side point. Think about this, a week at the GO for 432 dollars a the MF of 1900. If one believes Marriott has a lot of low season units in the trust across the portfolio, this will always burden the trust unit it gets balanced out with high season units.

Thanks for the update, kind of good to know that if they have a limit they apply it, even when its annoying.
Yes, you can see the same with II inventory for weeks too, low season units as getaways or accom certs for less than a third of the maint fees for the units.
If you use these great value bookings its an excellent way to use ownership.

We are traveling with friends in a few weeks, while I should arrive first, I decided to add my friends name in case our flight was delayed.. I think MVC updated the reservation overnight, so about 24 hours.

So while they are asking for 30 days, so far it does not seem to be taking anywhere close to that.
