We will be there in December on a getaway in a 1 bedroom unit. Any advice for a room/location request would be appreciated. We would like a nice view and away from any excessive noise if that is ever an issue there.

Thank you,

Mike

It's been a number of years since we've been to our home resort but, generally speaking, the only location we really didn't like was either tower 1 facing east on the north end or the lower floors of tower 2 facing north. The reason being was trash service came VERY early in the morning and they were very noisy.

The best views IMO are from tower 1 facing west (towards the strip) 5th floor or above. The very lowest floors of tower 1 face the concrete wall of the low rise building in from of Polo Towers. It's a personal preference but I've also enjoyed the tower two rooms that face south towards MGM Grand and the airport.

Things change in Vegas and nothing is ever guarenteed about noise. Years ago, there use to be an outdoor DJ that made the south facing rooms of tower 2 intollerable on the weekends. Fortunately, that club has been long since closed. Where City Center stands now also use to have a restaurant that turned into a night club after hours and had sliding window that essentially turned it into an outdoor night club, making the west facing rooms of tower 1 intolerable from a noise standpoint on the weekends. Again, that club is also long gone. I'm not aware of any new night clubs that are open air and are causing noise problems but, like I said, we haven't been to our home resort in a number of years and, in Vegas, everything can change and change rapidly.

I agree with Doug's comment. I have unit 16107 (16th floor facing the strip) and this is definately the best side of the resort to stay at. The higher floor you can get, the better.

Hi,
Totally agree.
We have unit 15105 facing the strip. High floor, odd number is your best bet for building l. The higher up the better, sometimes you can hear the music from the market place late into the night. Upper floor, no problem.
