Just returned from a trip to NYC for my son’s fall break. Actually had two rooms at the Hilton Club but booked an extra room for two nights at The Residences as I had extra points and wanted to check out what was “upstairs” (floors 44-46). I was given room 4504, a 1BR Penthouse. Overall, a very nice room. Similar layout to one bedroom penthouse at The Central, just a tad smaller. Nice finishes and tall ceilings. Pics are below. I technically did not get lounge access as a non-owner. I joked with the check-in guy that the Residences was the only property I didn’t own at in New York as I have deeds at the Quin, West 57, the Central, and HCNY. Hearing that, he voluntarily gave me lounge access which he didn’t have to do and was very kind of him. Checked out the lounge the next morning and layout and set up was very nice. Nice view of Central Park. Spread is similar to the other lounges except as a waffle maker. Was not able to check out the evening hors d’oeuvres. As I expected, the setup and rooms are newer and “nicer” than Hilton Club on floors 36-38. But I still love HCNY as it is easier to book short notice, has legit large 2BR rooms, and just feels more welcoming.
