The Quin resort is scheduled to open on 9/3. That's a long ways away.

Prices range from $30,990 - $499,990, subject to change. So that is Gold studio 3,750 points, to 1 bedroom penthouse, platinum, 21,000 points. It says "Restaurant onsite" - I did not know that. http://www.thewayfarernyc.com/

Looks interesting. But with no lounge for non-owners we'll stick to W. 57th.

Cheers.

Yeah. I still don’t understand why bHC owners aren’t allowed to use each other’s lounges, that way I would book other bHC locations with my points. Now I won’t.

I’m wondering why you can’t book a penthouse but the other rooms just fine?

At almost $500,000 a week, I can see them holding that room out. They want you to buy the week, not just use your points.

I’ve eaten at the Wayfarer twice - pretty good fare and nice upscale atmosphere. It is certainly better than the Herb N’ Kitchen at the midtown Hilton (home of Hilton Club and The Residences) and is on the Elevated Rewards discount list.

Thanks @Smclaugh99 we'll have to try Wayfarer next time we visit. We also want to try Rue 57 which is kitty corner to that. They take elevated rewards too.

Now I am missing the Big Apple!

I am not in the program yet. Does Ownership at the Quin give you any extra perks over Hilton Owners with Points ? Are there any 2 BR units there ? Do they offer an every other year at any of the NYC properties?

No 2beds

ownership will give you access to the lounge onsite.

I dont know if all properties offers EOY ownerships but some do like w57.

Rue 57 is great. All the classic French dishes--quiche, steak frites, onion soup, etc. The pommes frites are to die for. Remi, next to the midtown Hilton also takes elevated rewards and is good if you're in the mood for Italian.

Has anyone noticed that the Club Booking window for The Quin and The Central at 5th is 1 to 276 days? Same as HGVC club booking window. I like it.

My guess is this is temporary until they sell out the properties. With few owners to date and NYC closed, this is a great way for club members to try NYC properties (and potentially offer a sales presentation.) Also a great way to occupy the buildings quickly, ramp staff training and burn extra member points accumulated in 2020.

Given my July W57th ressie is now officially cancelled, perhaps I should try the Quinn in the fall or next year. We shall see.

One of the big things that prevents us using non W 57th St NYC propertied is the owner lounge at W 57th St. Staff and guests make it great.

Unfortunately I don’t see how they will be able to operate normally for a long time.

Might be the time to check out some of the other properties.

@JohnPaul good point. The lounges may have to operate quite differently and remove the buffet. I look forward to hearing everyone's reports. We still have a VIP to visit NYC or Hawaii that expires next year. Perhaps they will let us use it for one of these properties since the W57 lounge will be hobbled.

Although not an owner at W57th, I was staying there last year during the blackout in NYC. They opened the lounge and patio for everyone, especially those not able or willing to walk up to their floors. I grabbed a lounger out on the patio. It was from there I saw stars in NYC. Never seen stars while in NYC before, probably NOT again, either.

They may have to serve it, but they should still be able to have the booze. I'm good :)

Cheers.

LOL The alcohol will kill ALL germs. I like that approach. Sure beats sanitizer. :)
