This is one of our girls, Lia. I love all the pics and have been meaning to post one of our 2 girls. Will get better ones after Lia gets her bandage off later this week. She managed to rip out one of her nails on Sunday. Went to the vet today and she's not a happy camper. Neither is her sister Rommie who's eyes were the widest I've ever seen when she saw Lia. She's been under the couch or other difficult to retrieve places ever since. When she's out and sees me looking at her she scurries to one of her hiding places!

Lia is now upstairs with her daddy watching TV. They are both 9 years old (the cats, that is, not daddy!!!) and this is the first time Lia has had a collar and or bandage on her. Rommie has severe teeth/gum allergies and has been in and out of the vet's office since she was little. She's lost 5 of her teeth so far and we're doing our best not to lose others.

Poor Rommie. She had her annual checkup today and will be losing another one of her teeth, if not 2. The 2nd will depend on results of x-rays when she goes in for the surgery. That will be 6 (or 7) gone. She's going to be toothless soon :bawl::bawl::bawl:. Poor baby was not blessed with good teeth/gums. Her sister (not liter mates) won the lottery there.

Nemo a rescue. Year old at end of month. Adopted day after Christmas 2019. Spoiled rotten as between school breaks, snow days and then lockdown he’s not been alone much at all. So he’s usually staring at one of us like this.

Just one of my chickens but she’s the queen and oldest- going on 6 years and thinks she is a house pet. Ellie is her name, aka “Diva” Started as a biology project for oldest kid as a sophomore- had to get the chick to imprint. Not only did she imprint, she got used to our old dog, and became convinced she is a dog who deserves to be in house too. Still sneaks in if a door is open. Swear she mourned when our old doggy passed a couple years ago. She comes up regularly to be held- will peck you until u put down whatever you may be doing and let her into your lap.

She’s a free loader now, but have four other hens-2 layers and 2 who are about to start laying. She does love to sunbathe on the deck!

LOUIE - 50% Aussie and then a mix of Cattle, Bull, Lab, Retriever. Such a loyal companion for a rescue dog. Came from Missouri is all we know. Humane Society listed him as Bernese (markings) and Shepherd mix (just did not say if German or Australian)!
