The New Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort

Holiday Inn Vacation Club is getting ready to open the Scottsdale Az Resort the first of the year and has started taking reservations to book vacations by phone call from Holiday Inn Club.

I have not been able to find our resort on TUG. Anybody know what it might have been called in the past? Was it just a hotel?
Maybe it is not registered with TUG. How do we get it registered?

I see online booking rooms start Dec 5th thru Holiday Inn web-sight.
It is going thru a complete remodel I understand.

Anybody have any info on this they could share?

only thing I could find on the web was it use to be called Zona Hotel & Suites Scottsdale + 7677 E Princess Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255 is the same address as the new Holiday Inn Club
but that name does not come up on TUG

It was the Zona Hotel

It was a hotel called Zona. They bought it and are investing $30MM. I'm looking forward to it! Love Scottsdale and Camel Back Mountain!

Reviews on tripadvisor for the old zona look mixed....it looks like it was a quirky old resort with a lot of character but in need of a facelift. This sounds like the perfect recipe for a successful TS to me.
 
Yes it did look run down. Holiday Inn Vacation Club has been remodeling it making it a Timeshare resort for a year now. Opening first of year.

I actually made reservations for Easter and want put it on TUG , but to do so you have to have the resort on the list. Zona Hotel is not on the list so I'm assuming TUG will have to add this new resort.
 
Sounds like the place next to the Villa Mirage timeshare in Scottsdale. I was at the Villa Mirage last November and didn't see a whole lot going on at this location, looked boarded up at the time.

I agree it looks like the place.When we stayed at the Villa Mirage years ago we ate at the restaurant that was located there.

The first link worked directly to the one photo that they have posted. The photo reminds me of the outside of the Desert Club. If they remodel these as nice as they did for the Desert Club, it will be a great choice to visit.

I wonder why my IHG account often shows no hotels in an area? I will have to check this out with a customer rep.

Example: when I put in Arizona, only two hotels showed. I then put in Scottsdale, and got two. Tried again putting in Phoenix and see the many options. Crazy, because they all should have shown with the broadest Arizona search term.

It is not ready for booking until Dec 5th 2015.

I haven't been able to get TUG to respond about getting it into the TUG system yet so we can utilize this timeshare

They are taking reservations now
