I graduated high school in 1968. We were truly blessed with a surfeit of wonderful music in the late 60s and early 70s in particular. I have always been a huge fan of The Beatles, but also The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly and The Who, amongst so many others.
I also don't think
The White Album (or
The Double White, as we referred to it here at the time) was the best album produced by The Beatles, but it was iconic for many reasons and tremendously successful commercially. I'm not sure though that I would place
Beggars Banquet ahead of it. Just my take!
