TMC is widely-known among timeshare owners and others as being fraud and lie-ridden with ultra exorbitantly high maintenance fees (UP NEARLY 400% SINCE ITS INCEPTION). this timeshare and its owners are now in a state of "limbo" after the court victory won by the new york state attorney general, eric schneiderman for TMC 's audacious actions against owners. owners are totally unsure of their current legal positions and are not being given any direction by any legal entity, including the nys atty general's office.

that being said, TIMESHARE USERS GROUP, has recently tacitly endorsed TMC, by publishing a picture of a smiling man and woman prominently holding a TUG BANNER WITH THE TMC MARQUEE CLEARLY SHOWING in the background, indicating that they are staying at this place which has given a black mark to the entire timeshare industry.

is this what you expect from an organization that's supposed to support the interests of timeshare owners? I THINK NOT.

Excuse me? Not sure what your agenda is. Nobody on TUG will claim the Manhattan Club is Primrose Lane. We know all about the issues there. The fact that you own there (based on the profile you display, and each of your TUG posts) and are not happy with the way it's operated, (based on what you've said), is noted. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. However, nobody was ENDORSING anything, and your criticism is misplaced.

The picture you reference is part of a social activity TUG members do, where they display the TUG banner in or near timeshares all over the world, as a way of showing how widespread timeshare vacations can be. They then sign the banner and send it to another member so it can be displayed in front of another timeshare somewhere else. The same people and banner could just as easily have been in front of a timeshare in Mexico or in Hawaii or anywhere else in the world. The timeshare itself is secondary to the point of the banner. There are thousands of similar photos of smiling people posing with the banner in front of timeshares all over.

dave i understand and totally disagree with much of your TUG loyalty. they have probably commented/worked effectively and as you expected them to do as an organization in favor of timeshare users. but, you are erroneous in not believing that they TACITLY ENDORSED THE MANHATTAN CLUB AS A PLACE TO GO TO BY THEIR SHOWING HAPPY PEOPLE MERRILY WAVING THE TUG BANNER IN FRONT OF THIS DISGRACE OF A TIMESHARE.

Since my husband and I are the "smiling man and woman" in the picture, I have to say that I totally agree with Dave in the post above and his description of TUG banner. At the time the picture was taken we were actually owners at the Manhattan Club and we always had a marvelous time whenever we stayed there. That picture was taken probably ten years or more ago, and was taken because of the TUG banner.

We no longer own at MC and we were fortunate enough to be able to sell our week many years ago before the annual maintenance fees got out of hand. We bought the unit resale through a TUG ad and we sold it the same way.
