We bought a promotional package to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village next year but we are in Oahu now. I really wanted to see the Kihei model and ask some questions too so we stopped by the HHV but that particular model could not be shown.
They have ripped out the floor of the Kihei condo model and are putting a new floor in but the salesman showed us another model instead. It looked nice but was rather small but he told us that the real condo would be larger but there was lack of space here where the model is. Not all the models are the same so the Kihei model may be different anyway.
I tried to get more information on the Kihei resort so the person called the Sales Manager over and he said that they are going to build in Kihei but they are still waiting on the final approval of the building plans or permits or whatever they need to get.
We all know how difficult Maui is. He also told us that he wasn't allowed to give us any sales information (point requirements or prices) until the Hilton has the proper real estate public report to sell in Maui.
I don't remember all the right terminology but they were very courteous while they were very busy too. Couples came in for tours constantly and were shown individually. It may have been courtesy tours too?
The weather has been very nice this September because the trade winds keep it pleasant. The evenings are super balmy so perfect for walking and early in the morning too to walk on the beach.
