TIMESHARE RENTAL VERIFICATION CHECKLIST!​

  • Talk to the owner on the phone - get a feel for who they are.
  • Rent from a TUG member(and verify how long they have been a member)
  • Ask the owner to email or Fax you a copy of their original reservation confirmation
  • Ask the owner to set it up with the resort so you can call and confirm the reservation
  • Ask if you can pay a small deposit, get the confirmation in your name, and then pay the Balance
  • Ask the owner to send you a copy of their deed, with their address blacked out.
  • Ask for references from previous rentals
  • Request a signed (or notarized) rental contract
  • Only use a method of payment you are comfortable with (and it is suggested to avoid any payment method that provides no recourse or refunds under any circumstances)
