The Delta variant boomed from 10% of all US coronavirus cases to 31% in just 11 days. It's more dangerous than other variants and could...

There are a few areas where vaccination rates are low (like Missouri) where the cases are going up, driven by the Delta variant. Still relatively low numbers compared to six months ago, but still.

Who is getting sick? Who is being hospitalized? Who is dying? I'd love to play along but cases also mean those folks could win a PGA event in 14 days.

What does this have to do with the price of eggs in Georgia?
Why the rudeness?

The point of my comment was to put the scary headline of the Delta variant into context. Delta variant “booming” yet the actual number of Covid cases is rapidly dropping.

Good grief, stop shaking your fist at the cloulds. I was simply explaining the concern about the Delta variant. Cases are rising in these limited areas (from a much smaller baseline than January) due to the population having low vaccination rates and a variant that is much more contagious. I'd get you a list of people but likely HIPAA won't allow me access.

The over-the-top headlines are basically table stakes for reporting nowadays, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep an eye on these variants and their mutations as they impact those who choose not to get vaccinated in the U.S. and those that don't have access to vaccines elsewhere in the world.

The people being hospitalized right now are under 40 and unvaccinated. That’s who is getting sick and dying, to answer the question. The Delta variant will be the dominant virus in the US by August. Get vaccinated.

As if we need it, yet another incident suggesting (almost) everyone needs a vaccine ASAP.

A coronavirus outbreak hit a Florida government building. Two people are dead but a vaccinated employee wasn't infected

40% fatality rate? 80% hospitalization rate? Something does not make sense.

I was suggesting to the gloom and doomers that the scarients are not what they think they are. I don't *really* need a list but if you (speaking in general, not you) take a few minutes to look at hospitalizations and deaths you'll live with less stress. I think we in the U.S. are nearing 99% survival rates including all age groups. But cases...
