I was trying to organize a list of my reservations - on excel or word. I signed into the site, and it took me to the DRI side. I could not "switch accounts" and after 11 tries - each time expecting a different response, I gave up. I think the definition of crazy is expecting a different result after 3 times - I surely deserve the title this morning. The response trying to reach the HGVC side of the login page, is a sign-out URL. The response to troubleshoot the sign-in is... AGAIN the sign-out page. I also had a regular mail with a $205 invoice, and I was looking to pay online this morning.

anyways.... if their other insomniacs here and are trying the same thing, let me know if you are getting through, and what did you do.

I tried 3 different web-browsers, the iOS APP, 2 different devices, turned the computer off/on, and deleting the cookies. The only way I knew I had tried 11 times, is I got 11 different codes sent to my cell phone.:cautious:

This is a much longer than normal update period for the website. The note on my login page says ... until 9 AM and that the telephone services will be suspended.

this website is just horrible. It makes me irrationally angry.

where do I find the number to call to make a reservation?

Something weird is going on with site. Made a reservation this morning and that one shows up in my reservation list. Also made 2 in afternoon and those two are not. My points were used up and I received a confirmation e-mail but even several hours later it's not on my reservation list. Even tried manually replacing the reservation number on an existing reservation with the reservation number from the e-mail and I get a reservation not found message. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow.

Don't think it will be any different, but are they showing up in the app?

I think that I remember similar issues during the last major upgrade.

I just log into HGVC and my yearly point totals are not correct. I am glad that I track my points.

Is anyone else having issues with their HGVC yearly totals? Somehow with the update, my 2025 points have been moved to Year 2026. Since I don't have any more required HW reservations in 2025, I may not touch the problem.

There is no way that HGV IT can integrate BG into the two systems, especially if they will require Max so the current HGVC/HVC owners to book the former BG properties. Every time there’s an upgrade, it fails the simplest tasks.

I've said it many times: I have never seen an industry with such bad IT as TSs. The industry. The first time someone showed me RCIs site a long long time ago, I thought it was unbelievably bad, so bad, it can't be by incompetence alone. I posit that RCI infected the entire industry.
Maybe #1 thing keeping me from adding more TS wks and trying to RCI them is I can't imagine adding thta aggravation to my life

Occasional downtimes aside, I have found the HGVC website (not the app) to be very good. I've been able to do everything I want most of the time, and some of it is not as straightforward. And really, the downtimes I've seen are few. I'm often surprised that the HGVC site is as good as it is- at least for HGVC and bNC buckets. I can't speak to MAX/DRI. But the HGVC/bHC experience is quite solid IME.

Cheers.

Many of the the airlines had horrendous IT systems for a time...and some still do (I'm looking at you Hawaiian). But at least they had an excuse - SABRE was amazingly advanced for its time (the early 60s) and I can understand the mantra of, "Whatever you do don't break it."

I agree on HGVC. It mostly looks amateurish, but for doing basic stuff it isn't hard to figure out (not exactly intuitive but not terrible) and it works. But I do really basic stuff. For that, if they haven't messed with it recently, it works. It is the steps-back-on-upgrades that are laughable, and of course basically everyone here tries more complex stuff than I do. HGVC = B-. and the phone service is fine too. Little complaint about HGVC overall from us, no-fuss customers.

In general I agree. But I do have serious issues with HGV introducing new reservation policies before making the IT systems support them first. Why in heavens name did they separate HGVC from bHC points without first giving users the ability to choose which bucket and year to use for their reservations? And why...many years later...can we still not book bHC Priority reservations online?

I think that the basic functions of the system are decent. I have never had an issue with booking my reservation (if there's availability). Where the issue comes in is the more complex and sometimes just non basic actions. There have been issues with point shuffling where the days that are needed to shuffle never show up but are seen in a new reservation. That has happened to me and luckily enough, CS was able to move those days back into my reservation. bHC has been around for how long and they are still taking points out of the wrong bucket?

I understand that the MVC (Marriott) system is pretty poor, worse than HGVC's. I guess my trepidation comes from the fact that there will be added complexities in the next 12-24 months. Will the system be able to handle that? I understand that there is a new system on the horizon. Will that be able to handle the addition complexities or will it take years to get it right? I agree about the app.
