I was perusing The Bay Club's Oct 2014 HOA minutes, and came across this little tidbit.
New Business
Mr. Gunthner discussed the proposal from the Hilton Waikoloa to resurvey the ownership about
having an agreement with the hotel to use their amenities. Further information will be gathered
and presented at the November meeting.

I was wondering if anyone has heard any more about this, as this is the last set of meeting minutes posted under HOA updates.

It would be great to be able to use the Hilton Village pools, just as we can when staying at Kings Land or Kohala Suites.

You can pay $100 for a 3 day pass to use the hilton waikaloa pools. This is a pass for I believe 4 persons for 3 days. I donot know what the current price is but that was the price last year. Hope this helps.

Does HGVC Waikoloa have free access? I believe Kings' Land has it. Is this correct?

I think so. Only Bay club as affiliate has to pay for pool use.

That is correct, both Kings Land and Kohala Suites get free access to the hotel pools.

I think the pool use is baked into the mf of the others. Bay club owners have decided not to pay for that pool as part of mf..

I think if you are HGVC Elite and stay at Bay Club, you can use the pool and facilities at Kings Land. On the hgvcelite.com website it states "Access to Kings' Land Clubhouse while staying at Waikoloa Beach Resort of The Bay Club". Has anyone that's Elite tried this?

Yes I was at the Bay Club in July and it works no problem. Just go to the desk at King's Land and let them know who you are and then they gave me a pass for the two weeks we were there. Also, on our presentation the salesman gave us a pass to access the Hilton while we were there at no cost. He also gave us his info for when we go back just contact him ahead of time and he will have a pass for the hotel when we arrive.

Venom550pm - I assume you're Elite? When we were at King's Land last year kibbitzing in the pool, someone said there said they heard that staying at Bay Club WAS going to start allowing access to the Kings' Land clubhouse/pool. Nothing about Elite status. I take it ONLY with Elite? Might like to expand possibilities in that complex, yet get to Kings' Land. I can totally live without Waikaloa Village!

Yes I am an elite member and that is how I was able to use the King's Land pools. I own at King's Land as well, but have never stayed there. I prefer The Bay Club because of the size of the unit and the size of the Lanai. I also think the view is better.
