We will be in San Clemente on Thanksgiving Day. Any suggestions on where to eat other than the pier? We will only be there two days at the San Clemente Inn before we migrate down to Solana Beach at Winners Circle. Does anyone have the latest on Winners Circle. The reviews are mixed with mostly negative things. We are hoping that it isn't a total pit because we will be there a full week.

Here Are Some Ideas

My close friend lives in San Clemente (owns one of those big homes on top of the hill - lucky guy). I asked him for suggestions. Here are his ideas:

Best restaurants: 1. Gordon James (for beef); 2. The Vine (California nouvell); 3. The Mediterranean Rim (Tunisian); 4. Antoines (for French); 5. Takao (for sushi); 6. White Horses; 7. Augostino's (for Italian); 8. Chato's (for Mexican).

Have a great trip.

SCI also has a popular coffee shop type restaurant called Adelles. Reasonable food for fairly reasonable pricing. It's very convienent.
