Happy Thanksgiving to my TUG Family!

This year, I/we are home in Milwaukee and will be preparing the "traditional family" Thanksgiving dinner that my Mom did throughout her life. There will be 6 of us . . . family and adoptive family. I am probably most excited about having baked a homemade pecan pie, made from fresh pecans we "picked up" (literally) from my Grandma's farm in Georgia this past weekend!

Outstanding story and remembrance of your Mother cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I can share that remembrance of my Mother, cooking those special Thanksgivings dinner meals with the whole family in attendance.

Your pecan pie looks very nice, with those Georgia pecans.

Wishing your family and you a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Thanks . . . I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving too!

The "Tison Family" Thanksgiving meal was one of two a year my Mom cooked . . . the other was Christmas Dinner. Unless I've been a guest elsewhere for Thanksgiving, I have always enjoyed preparing this same menu using her recipes since becoming an adult, living on my own.

The photo below is from 1983 . . . one of my earliest "adult" Thanksgivings . . . single and sharing with my boyfriend that year.

Spending TG with DD in NCV - taking her away from school for a few days for some home cooking. Simple steak on the grill served with asparagus, corn and parboiled rice tonight for us.

Thankful for fair health and the ability to continue traveling during the challenges our country and world faces today.

Happy Thanksgiving to my TUG family.

Happy Thanksgiving TUG family. We are having our family gathering at a relative's church. Nice to have a big kitchen and dining area, and a gym for the kids to run in. Especially since it was usually us hosting. Nice to have the space and help with cleanup (I'm never the cook and thus always the clean-up, very much like this set up). So much to be Thankful for, enjoy your day!

DW’s family have their reunion at a church every July 4th. They started doing it at the church probably 20-25 years ago. It’s sooooo much easier than using someone’s home.

We had a nice lunch at the casino, although neither one of us went for their Thanksgiving spread. Then I won $2,000 playing video poker. Here I am by one of their holiday displays:

That was outstanding and a very nice Thanksgiving gift. LOL
Sounds liked Santa treated you to an early Christmas gift.
Wishing you a belated Happy Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your remaining vacation time and do not put your winnings back into that video poker machine. Good luck.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving luncheon at the clubhouse in our mobile home park. There were 180 in attendance. Management supplied the turkey, gravy and rolls, and guests would bring the rest of the meal. Our table of 16 friends had such a feast- sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, green beans, carrots, mandarin orange salad (my contribution) and stuffing,
We all went back to one of the friends' houses for dessert, coffee, liqueur and wine. Dessert was pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling, brownies and almond joys bars (my contribution)

It was such fun to celebrate with great friends and neighbours! We are so glad to be back in Florida!

I'm dealing with the aftermath of a making a
full turkey dinner for the family - the clean up.
I just put the 3rd load in the dishwasher.

Neither of the twins would look at the camera.

Back left, our son-in-law Bryon (not misspelled), granddaughter Evelyn (almost 16), and our daughter Laura.
From the left side, my stepdad Lowell (also never smiles for the camera), our son Jeremy holding our grandson Callan (3.5 years old), Jeremy's wife, Gyllien, Rick and Cindy in the center, Joshua and Melinda with Olivia and Xavier, and sitting on the floor, Grandson Oliver (almost 13), and last but not least, Raelynn (8 years old), and Elizabeth (our little kindergartener this year).

Truth is, I don't post enuff resort reviews (to what I think that refers).
It's just more fun, sitting back and throwing darts, in these forums.

Sheraton Broadway Plantation
Well, Thanksgiving is now past tense. Lyn and I spent Thanksgiving at our home resort, Sheraton Broadway Plantation in Myrtle Beach. I had an old "Explorer Package" that I had bought three years ago. Had really forgotten about it, but was told that we needed to use it this year, or lose it. We did our "Owners Update", and did convert to Abound, so that our old deeded week would not be attached to our estate any longer. We had a really nice visit, minus the "presentation". We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Paula Deen's Kitchen inside Broadway at the Beach.
