My BIL tested positive last week. It took 5 days to get the results, testing on 7/22 and getting results on 7/27. He has very mild symptoms and, hopefully, will be fine. He’s quaratining in their bedroom and his wife moved to the guest room. He did start quaratining (7/21) as soon as he knew he had exposure (from his boss at work). So, it basically took a week from learning he had been exposed to getting a test (at a drive-thru site) to learning the results. Six months into this, that is ridiculous.

Wishing a speedy recovery for your BIL. I agree the situation is ridiculous, and really feels that a nation we mucked this whole thing up.

And now this...
Chilton County is about halfway between Birmingham and Montgomery. There have been reports that ICU beds and hospital capacity in Bham and Montgomery were becoming critical. Chilton County has one small rural hospital but most people go to one of the bigger cities for specialized medical care.
