Telesales offer

I got a cold call from Wyndham telesales in Orlando.
They offered to sell me 105K points for about $18,500. Club Access
They would also convert my existing 600K UDI point deed to Access and keep my grandfather gold.
I forgot to ask if the unlimited housekeeping would remain.
That deed has a MF $2/K higher than access so that is very desireable to dump.
Crunching the numbers, it would take 15 years to recoup the $18,500.
Telesales pushed the concept of the Trust but my kids will never take it so maybe no big deal?

Is there anything here that would make this feel like a better deal?

You can get much lower mf contracts than CWA resale for basically free. seems not worth it to me to pay $18,500 to get 105k access points (that can be gotten for free on ebay), just to "wash" your existing points to CWA.

Where do you own UDI. If I was a betting man, you are currently paying much less maintenance fees than you would with Club Wyndham Access. So of course they want you to "convert".

18 grand to convert and give you only 105k points, that's crazy bad. That's about what I paid when I first bought for 300k points and permanent VIP Silver, admittedly that was a while ago

I own in Williamsburg and the MFs are crazy high. Access is $7.65/K and mine are $9.48/K mostly because of a crazy high $3/K reserve fee.
Crystal ball is need to see where fees will be on both properties in 5 or 10 years.

Why don't you bring in a PIC or two with that 105k?
I actually discussed that possibility with telesales. Right now I have another 2BR timeshare that could be picked. But the math still doesn't work.
Platinum is 1.1M and I would have 0.6+0.105+0.154 = 0.859
I would need another 3BR PIC (with more MFs) or buy another 241K points.
Tele offered to sell me all the points to get there for a mere $63K.

859,000 would give you permanent gold. Bonus points would get you close to Platinum for 2 years

They've already got permanent gold. Grandfathered is still permanent. It's just a really large leap between grandfathered gold and current platinum.
