We just stayed there for a week and were very pleased. With the lake, there is a lot of activities you can do there.

I originally went there to play at Extreme Sandbox, but, turns out they moved S a bit so it was an hour drive but that was a blast! More than worth the money. I'm attaching a couple pictures, let me know if you gave any questions.

The 26 ton excavator is what wife and I did at Extreme Sandbox, more fun than an amusement park for both of us.

The snake wasn't even in Texas, we went north to a park we wanted to hike and while I was sort of running back from a tower historic site, I ran over something, turned around, and yep, I had just put my foot down next to the snake shown. It's a copperhead, he may have tried to bite me, who knows as I didn't really see it, but, was a close call for sure.

Does Tanglewood trade in II? We used to live near there, and dear husband was asking about booking there but I couldn’t find it in the RCI directory. Looking for confirmation that it’s an II resort.

It does indeed trade in II, that's where I got it as I don't have RCI. I actually live not far from there, it was sort of a stay-cation.

Thanks, it’s good to confirm what we thought!

I just traded into Tanglewood in August. It’s a very nice resort near the lake. Of course it rained the entire time we were there sans one day but we did make it out on the Lake one day. it was more a staycation to get out of the house. I traded through II….it seems very few people go the entire week…it’s more a weekend resort for locals but was nice and quiet. Downside is outside of the Lake there is not a lot to do out that way. We did take a day trip up to one of the casinos which was nice and not too crowded.f

Wow, sorry to hear that! I don't recall August right now, but, rain that month is super unusual in this area. But you are right, not a lot in the area. The activities are almost all lake related, maybe some horseback riding, casino not too far, and there's some decent golf. But liking water is very helpful. It was the same when we were there, weekend was much more crowded.
