Tampa area over NYE

Is the Tampa area too far north to be considered a good rental area for week 52? The problem I see with it is it might not have enough to keep a family happily busy for a week and without children, adults might want to wait for a non holiday week.

Any thoughts?

Would it be in the Northern Coast region on the Travel Demand Index? Demand doesn't look good:

II puts in in Southwestern but it is on the Northern end of that map. According to II it looks like a 110 but even the northern coast is at 90 so it doesn't look terrible (but not great either). My usage doesn't start this year so I am thinking I can convince a regular Orlando NYE vacationer from the mid west to try something different next year.

My brother loves FL but the West Coast (Tampa) is his preferred stop.

Of course, I have Southeast Florida week 52 units ... he will go slumming for a free roof. In a fast heart beat.

Thanks. It's MF time and I was beginning to second guess myself. It's closer to Clearwater but the distances don't seem bad and it is ocean front-ish so I think I will be ok. I think if worse comes to worse I have family members that would make the trip and enjoy the sunsets.

What resort? In Tampa is it?

Really in Indian Rocks Beach nearby. Camaron Cove it is a 38 unit resort that was originally built as full time condos.

Beautiful spot! If you couldn't have a good time here, then is your own fault. I would go, but already have plans for NYE.
