We have an exchange booked at SSR for Nov 21-28. Since my DH has to work on the Friday after Thanksgiving, we are flying home on Thanksgiving night, and the unit was going to be sitting empty on Thursday and Friday night. I just found out that some friends of ours who live in Orlando can use the last two nights.

Does anyone know how we go about transferring from one family to the other with Disney? They have APs, so they don't need any MagicBands or FPs booked for them.

Add their names on the reservation if you have room and don't go over the number of people allowed to stay in the villa. Plus, this won't work if you are doing the Disney Dining Plan, since you have to purchase per night and per person for the length of your stay, for everyone staying in the same villa.

I've done this before with my sister and her family when they were staying off property that way they could come visit us and swim in the resort pool.

Make sure that is no charging privilege attached to the magic bands or room key

What I did in a similar situation was just give my friend my key; ask him to shut down the unit properly; and check out. It was a good friend I trusted and basically I told him to pretend he was me. This may not work today. It was a while back and I don't know with modern technology if the Resort has a way to know who is using the key

What's a "Key"? We were there last month and were told everything is done through Magic Bands nowadays!

They should just go, talk to the resort, so they can get magic band access to your room, unless you leave your magic band so they can open the door? How many does the timeshare sleep? If they can be added to the reservation and you see them during your stay, you can work out the details. We have stayed at resorts and let family use part of the weeks, but they were not in Disney or Orlando.

He has an AP and MagicBand, and we are under our unit occupancy, so I am going to add him to our reservation. He's going to have his charges go to his credit card and put his card on file with the front desk when he arrives.

Thank you for all the advice and suggestions.
