my daughter, her family and the two of us went to Hyatt coconut point dec 21 to 25. They all went to Disney from there.
Dec 26 my daughter had to go to ER with pneumonia and I went in dec 27 with sinus infection, which kept returning in the form of bronchitis all the way into April. My husband never got a sniffle, so I doubt it was any more.

If the first cases outside China were in November-December, it means the virus is a lot less contagious than thought, otherwise the number of infected people and deaths would be much higher. So probably the surge in March/April was due to the exponential increase in the number of tests and not to the exponential increase in the number of people infected.

I read that the virus may have mutated into a version that is more contagious (one study) but less dangerous (another study). Let's hope this virus will mutate until it will fizzle out like SARS

Could be he was asymptomatic. My mom, in NYC was very sick early December, massive headaches, dizziness, difficulties breathing, dry cough, leg rashes, sweating lots and then a severe allergic reaction to a blood pressure medicine she took for many years. Somehow her immune system made it an enemy. It went on for weeks. Multiple doctor visits gave her cough medicine, nose drops and sent her home. Today they would test her for the virus.

I'm pretty sure I read that too. I do know Dr Fauci in January said New York was seeing a high level of ILI (influenza like illness) and was urging people to get flu shot.

Oh my goodness! I had a bad december (steroids, albuterol) but not like that. I never had a fever (that I caught) but had the aches and extreme fatigue, and no taste or smell. And my breathing hasn't been right since. Almost went to Urgent care as I was pretty much emptying an inhaler. Haven't had this bad of a spring in long time.
