Does anyone know where the best place to post a thread in tug (or elsewhere) about seeing if someone wants to swap marriott summer weeks? Trying to get to NCV this summer as the family doesn't want to go to Aruba, but retrading into NCV thru II at this point seems futile and i dont even know where to begin with this. Also, would this be advisable? thanks.

There is an exchange section in the TUG CLASSIFIED. You can search the listings to see if there is a NCV owner looking for a swap and also post your exchange there.

It is a great idea, but in the future it may work better further out. I did a 3 way trade last summer a year plus out, and we all made reservations for each other for the specifically desired weeks- and it worked great! We each got what we wanted and no fees.

Also wanted to post a plug for the TUG exchange section. The timing is a little late, but you never know. Someone else's plans may have changed as well.

Ownertrades also has an exchange section. For $2 (which gives you the ability to register on the site), you can list your unit & desired weeks for others to see your offering, but since you are the one more in need of the trade, I'm not sure how well the $2 option would work for you (it is $12 to have full access to exchange searches).

If you do decide to re-trade in, as an owner you will have priority if any week does happen to open up; I don't know what those chances are, though.

ownertrades.com is great

I was sucessful a few years ago swapping my Aruba Surf Club week for a week at Waiohai; am hoping it will work out for me again for 2013. It's worth the nominal fee to be able to search their entire database of members who are interested in trading.

The problem is that the OP is trying to reexchange. I don't think you can put in a request with a reexchange and it would only be on a search that an owner would get owner priority. Reexchanges require calling II to facilitate.

It seems that the OP would be trying to do a private exchange of an II exchange? If that is the case, a private exchange of the week isn't really permitted per the T&Cs of II membership.

The OP can always cancel the exchange before the 60 day window and get a cancellation week that is good for one year from cancellation.
