I don't remember her name, but this sounds exactly like the saleswoman we had at SVV last summer after they first opened up and there were barely any tours going through. She begged us to buy because she put her makeup on that day just for us.

I don't have any problem buying an Encore package, but I'm not going to spend tens of thousands of $ to make a salesman's day better.

Ha Ha! At least you could take a photo of the notes. When I tried to take a photo of the notes from our most recent HGVC visit, the rep tore up the notes into small strips in front of us. He was clearly not happy we were not buying more! Never saw that happen before.

We were happy we didn't spend any more $$ and enjoyed a deeply discounted stay in Hawaii. :)

We always ask if we can have 5 minutes to discuss in private whatever the salesperson has offered us and when they leave the room I make a point of gathering up their scribblings together with my own stuff. I notice them looking for it when they return but they have never asked me where it went or to give it back.
We also ask for a few minutes to discuss and I take a pic with my phone. ;)

I paid $995 + $99 for a four night Encore package at WDW (where I own) in a Premium 1 BR villa (i.e. the larger side of a lock off.) The deal includes 100,000 Bonvoy points or $500 in Visa gift cards. So assuming you take the gift cards, you’re essentially paying $600 total for four nights in the premium 1 br, which is a good deal. Depending on how you value the Bonvoy points, taking them might make it an even better deal.

But I find it interesting that they are charging the same price for an Encore package at SVV, I would expect it to be cheaper there.

They tried to sell me a more expensive Encore package at WKORV in March, but when I told them I already had an encore package at WDW, they said they weren’t allowed to sell me one if I already had one unused.

I'm with ya, they're really a pretty good deal, minus the fact that you have to attend one of those horrific presentations, lol.

We can easily get over $1,000 worth of value from the Bonvoy points alone, so it's often a no-brainer for us. Plus, it frees up our actual ownership weeks for other things.
