Is anyone else concerned that Shell Vacations Club keeps filling their boards with Wyndham employees? Should we be concerned? Just got my proxy vote for the Americana Club, and both board nominees are Wyndham executives. One is a Senior VP and Group Controller for Wyndham Vacation Ownership - Hospitality Services. Is this kosher? Doesn't pass the smell test to me.

Nope, it doesn't, but it's the norm in the industry, unless owners really get involved.

Wyndham has been stacking the deck (HOA board) with Wyndham employees for years. Two employees and one deeded owner, totaling three. What Wyndham wants Wyndham gets no matter how ridiculous it is, like the stupid unnecessary activity cards you have to buy at Smuggler's Notch. #Conflict of Interest

Businesses tend to like to control the quality of the product they sell.

Quality control is one thing. Domination is another. Wyndham has no reason to stack the deck unless they intend to make sure the owners never act outside of Wyndham's best interests, even if those actions would benefit the owners over Wyndham. It's just not right.
