We have stayed at Monarch, Grande Ocean and Barony Beach on Hilton Head. This year we are staying at Surfwatch in a 3 bedroom. Does anyone know?

1) Do they have a pizza hut, marketplace or pool bar?
2) Are there any good bike paths close by? I know it is not on a plantation.
3) Do they have an indoor pool or rec area? I saw an indoor pool on the resort map, but it said future....
4) How warm is it the first week of June? Warm enough to enjoy the ocean?
5) Do they have any activities for teens?

Thanks!!!

1)Surf Watch has a pool bar at the pool by the beach.
2) There are bike trails near by in the park off of Burke's Beach Road and once you get up to 287 you can go either way. The trails, however, are not like the trails in Sea Pines. They run along a busy street but they do lead you places that you might enjoy going to by bike rather than by car.
3) I though they have an indoor pool over looking the lagoon. Do not know about a rec area.
4) Probably about 80's and 90's in beginning of June. Not sure about the water temps in the Ocean at that time of year.
5) Do not know.

It is a beautiful resort. You are bound to have a great time.

Enjoy.

We were just at Surfwatch for New Years.

1. They do have the Pizza Hut in the Marketplace similar to Grande Ocean. There is a pool bar at the pool near the ocean although it was not opened when we were there.

2. There are bike paths nearby. While we didn't ride far we did ride some around the area.

3. There is an indoor pool that is very nice. It is actually much nicer than the indoor pool at Grande Ocean. Also the outdoor pools are well heated. They were comfortable enough to swim in even in late December.

4. I have been to Hilton Head in late May. For me it was comfortable sitting on the beach but not near warm enough to enjoy swimming in the ocean.

5. Surfwatch did not offer any particular activities in which my teens (18 and 14) were interested. My teens spent their time sleeping, golfing, swimming and shopping.

I hope this helps. I do think you will like the three bedroom units. The two quest rooms are very large, both with two queen beds.

June

Temperatures in June will be in the upper 80's... with temps getting closer to low 90's as you approach July.

You'll have no problems with ocean water. :whoopie:

We own a 3 bedroom at Surfwatch. Yes there is a pizza hut, indoor pool, and it will be warm there. We bike ride along route 278 until we get to Palmetto Dunes. As you are riding next to the golf course there is an opening where you can cut into the residential area of Palmetto Dunes and ride around the streets and paths. The homes are beautiful and it's always enjoyable.
