I just got an email from Marriott regarding my upcoming reservation into SurfWatch. It was from a personal Concierge at SurfWatch. She said she wanted to go over some important details about checking in and to know if I had any questions. I assume this is just an email to attend a presentation? I haven't heard of SurfWatch doing this but figured I would check with everyone to find out. Thanks.

Normally we get a call from the "concierge" at SurfWatch or Barony, and I think Grande Ocean uses the same system, but your email is probably the same thing. This person will definitely try to get you to schedule a sales presentation but s/he'll also be able to tell you about the activities schedule and take your unit requests. Also, they actually do perform concierge duties so feel free to ask about restaurants, tee times, local shopping, etc.

I can't believe how quickly your trip is coming, seems like just a week ago you first asked about SurfWatch. Have a great time!

Thanks, Sue. Can't wait to go. This is my first real Marriott Vacation Club stay. Mind you, I did stay at Mountain Valley this past Presidents Day weekend but that resort is not the typical Marriott Vacation Club, they don't have a sales force or presentations or anything like that. It was really nice, though.

For anyone else who might care to know, the movie theater room is still open as of now. It will be open for Easter week too, and it holds 16 people. I found this out, yesterday. I made my room request by calling the front desk. That was before I got the email from SurfWatch. I will go ahead and reply back. Not sure if I will do the presentation, though.
