We just did a trade for a 3 bedroom at Surf Watch next May. I was reading the reviews and one said that the master bedroom bath does not have a door between the bedroom and the bathroom. Is that correct? Thanks.

That is correct. You will find that you will want to keep the bedroom door closed when someone is showering as you could see the shower area when entering from the outside balcony.

That's a marriott.com picture (from before any of the refurbs.) You can see the setup is similar to many Marriott resorts except SW has giant showers where the jetted tub usually is in other resorts, then the double sinks opposite the shower and the toilet in its own small room with a door. One TUGger (I'm sorry, can't remember who) brings a tension shower rod and curtain to hang in that opening between the shower and the bedroom.

Those new showers at surfwatch are huge and have nozzles pointing at you from all directions. A very wise man I know once referred to them as "the car wash". But all kidding aside, I prefer the new shower layout to the oversize tub that most vacation club resorts still have.

During Barony's refurb starting next month they'll be replacing the giant tubs with showers like SW and they're including a barn door closure. I'm hoping SW follows their lead with their next refurb.

I am atleast one that brings my own shower rod and curtain. Not only does it give privacy but it keeps the shower warmer.

Mine is black and I use it to block out light from the glass block shower at sabal palms too.

There are not many marriott's that have completely enclosed bathrooms. Lakeshore does, some of manor club do.
All the rest that I can think of have the sink and the big garden tub/jacuzzi open to the master bedroom.

There are lots of MVCI resorts that have the sink in an enclosed bathroom. In fact, most of the 30 we have stayed at do. Those jacuzzi tubs where they exist are never enclosed, and sometimes there is an extra sink near the jacuzzi tub, but there is almost always a sink in the enclosed bathroom.

Well, if you are talking about the room with the toilet then there is no sink there at royal palms, sabal palms, imperial palms, cypress harbour, harbour lake, surf watch, barony beach, sunset point, harbour point, monarch, fairway villas. These are just the ones that I have been to and remember. In all these locations there is no door that separates the sink and tub from the rest of the master bedroom. The toilet is in a separate room with a door.

Are the huge showers in the 3 bedroom villas only? We stayed in a 3 bedroom back in June, and that shower was incredible.

Every villa at SurfWatch has always had them since the resort was built. All Barony Beach villas will have them after this latest round of refurbs is complete, half this winter and half next.
