Has anyone ever been to this resort? I read the reviews on Worldmark and the last reviews sounded better then some of the older posting but I didn't see any TUG posting on this resort.
Just wondering if it's clean, nice and how is the beach and if there is much to do in Ocean Park? I do know that it's about 5 min. to the beach
TIA,
Susan
When are you planning to visit?
I am not familiar with that resort, but here is the main site for the Long Beach Peninsula (with an event calendar):

We have visited there several times and if you are looking for a beach experience where you have tons of shopping opportunies, art galleries, etc. (i.e. like Newport or other Southern California places) this isn't it. If you are looking for a flat beach to walk on (as long as you stay alert for people driving on the beach--it's legal) it's great. We've even found sand dollars on our walks at times
. There is a state park in the area, as well.
Small-town, roll-up-the sidewalks-early-type place (applies to entire peninsula--nothing much to do in the evenings, except for some restaurants, so bring a book, knitting, etc.) Long Beach has a small seasonal carnival, some shops, a movie theater and "Jake the Alligator Man", here (along with some vintage coin-operated fortune tellers, and other machines if you like that sort of thing):

Weather permitting, in the summer, the carnival, go-carts and some stores stay open later. Summer is probably the best time to visit--especially for the kite festival (although it can be and has been cancelled due to bad weather). It can get cold and stormy, even in the summer, so dress accordingly.
Hope this helps.
