Sunset Fisherman's Playa/How is it?

Has anyone visited since the hurricane? I know the pool is being replaced and the beach was badly damaged. I had cancelled, but then changed my mind and decided to go and just relax.
Don't warn me about the sales sharks!!! I bought resale in 2005 and this will be my first visit to the resort. I have visited Playa many many times and love it.
Any new suggestions on transportation from the airport? The sunset shuttle is 39.00 one-way(no-way). I will most likely take the express bus for 7.50. Unless someone knows of some other service that is cheaper then the sunsets?
