Suggestions for downsizing?

We have a 500K Great Smokys contract, and it is more points than my extended family is able to use, so I'm looking to downsize to about 200K. With credit pooling, the smaller contract would still meet our needs.

We're going to deposit about 250K unused points into RCI next week, and in the transition to a smaller account, I'd like to hold onto those.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to go about this transition?

If you buy a new 200K contract and add it to your account before selling the 500k, the points would stay in your RCI account.
