We live in NJ. I have a deposit that expires March 23, 2009. Suggestion as to where to go. To enjoy the sun? Or to go ski? Also concerned about the cost of flights.
If you are open to going anywhere, I would look to see to where you would get the least cost airfares. If you find great fares to St. Thomas, search for that location, etc.

I agree Orlando would probably be cheapest in terms of airfare. Plus you can get lots of choices without having to wait until Flexchange.
But only you can decide skiing (CO, Utah or Lake Tahoe) or the beach. Flights to Aruba can be pricey nowadays although we found flights to STT (St. Thomas) just over $300 r/t out of EWR.
Something to consider if trying to budget is cost of ski passes/lift tickets whether you drive or fly and transporting skis with the extra air charges if you own equipment.
I love the beach so that would be my vote but there are driveable ski TS's in New England from NJ.
Jacksonville and Tampa airfares are normally less than Orlando. I also like the Ft Lauderdale area and airport very much.
If this is an RCI week you can pay $59 or $99 to extend the date 3-6 months.
