hi. We're thinking of going to Orlando in Oct, 2 active adults. We'll be getting a studio. Choice between grande vista or Harbour Lake. I have been to both a decade ago, but not in studios. I'm thinking the GV has a bigger footprint, which would be good for walking. I assume studios are comparable for bedding (a King?), kitchenette, etc. How about outdoor space/balcony? Which would you choose?

Grande Vista amenities are geared towards adults and Harbour Lake is geared towards children. The rooms have the same features.

Here is a video of Harbour Lake studio, the studio starts at 6:30 to 7:45

I would go for Grand Vista if it is only 2 active adults. Much more activities for the adults.

One of these days we will make it back to these two resorts and I can get some room tours up on my channel.

Harbour Lake is entirely for young kids. Only kid pools and spray grounds. That is the only Orlando Marriott I wouldn’t go to with just adults.

What's good about Cypress Harbour? It looks completely basic. Also if you are renting, Bonnet Creek is on sale Oct 2-9. You could probably find an owner to rent out their points for around $600-$650 for a week in a 1 bedroom.

You should collab with more people. You can probably get videos from Wyndham, Hilton and Marriott owners.

Thanks for the tip. I have just been posting stuff from where we have visited. This certainly would give a lot more resorts to put out there that we would never get to visit in our lifetime.
I will check in to it. Transfering the large files would be a little problematic, but if people could send me their raw footage I could edit it and put it with music and titles. I think Google Drive supports 15GB with their free account and I have 7GB free with Dropbox. So that would make transferring between people possible. Now to find people with raw or even edited footage. Perhaps I will put out a call in the lounge.

Another concern would be copyrights since I didn't take the video.

using II AC. Only studios at GV CC and HL.

I'd do LR first and GV second for a studio for 2 adults. I don't think walking will be as workable for HL as for GV though I'm not sure about walking options at LR. I'm pretty sure the studios are smaller at HL as well, I know there is a big difference in square footage between 2 BR's for HL compared to everything else in Orlando. Do you have the option of an II exchange where you might trade for a larger unit?

I walk for exercise at Grande Vista all the time. A couple of laps around the beautiful grounds and then out onto the sidewalk outside the resort. Not beautiful on the sidewalk, along the road, but gets the job done. You can also walk to first watch for breakfast or lunch or the other direction to Panera bread and more.
I own Harbour lake, I stay at Grande Vista now that the kids are grown.
Of your choices with your AC I would grab GV.

There's a bunch of there here on Tug. I think it's the best place for them, just let Tug know when you make a video and they'll post it. Here's an example and I've uploaded a few myself:

https://tug2.com/timeshare-resort/default.aspx?Marriott-Grande-Vista-Orlando-FL&ID=14025

See where it says "View Resort Video".
The only problem is that the TUG Resort page only supports one video per resort. Sometimes I may make several for a single resort; different villa sizes, a resort tour, etc. Also, if there is already a video in place, you can't just have it kicked out in favor of the one you made.

We've stayed at both...similar amenities and footprint (GV a little bigger). GV has two bar/grille areas vs. one at CH (plus a little snack shack). GV has more options for rooms - studio, 1 BR, 2BR both lockoff and non-lockoff, and 3BR vs. just the 2 BR at Cypress Harbour. I would classify the "feel" of the resorts as more party-like (both kids and adults) at GV vs. CH which is a little quieter, but that also could be just the times I've been at both. Both have nice lap pools and gyms. CH has a nice indoor bar, but I think the on-site food is better at GV. Similar locations vis-a-vis the parks/shopping/etc.

What are the differences between Cypress Harbour and grand vista? I have the option for both using an AC.
CH only has 2 BR and is older. This makes it a great option to upgrade a smaller unit to a larger one through II. I think it is more than the sum of it's part however and CH definitely has a cult following. My daughter stayed there a few months ago and texted me it was her new favorite Marriott resort in Orlando.

No studios at CH.

Can still trade in, since 2BRs are all they have. I like CH over the other two choices in this instance, Lakeshore Reserve also great,
both worth a slight upgrade fee (unless you can get an AC).
Beautiful resort, very nice enjoyable screen porches, great view over lake. You'll love it, guaranteed.
