Scary. At this storm isn't even hurricane strength or making landfall anywhere near Fort Meyers. Not good.

The problem is that they are on the "dirty" side of the storm, so they are getting lots of rain. We have a place in Bonita Springs and our neighbor reported we had over 8" of rain as of 3pm today, and it is still raining now (7 hours later). Being inland a few miles makes a huge difference -- no flooding issues so far!

It's been raining fairly steady most of the day today (since late morning) here in Orlando. I was able to get out and record some video at Old Key West first thing this morning. Realizing now I have to rerecord something. I suspect it will be better by later this week.

Friends of our in Ocala (a little north of Orlando) had a little under 9" since noon on Sunday as of this morning. I wonder if anyone has calculated the number of acre feet of water that has fallen on FL with this storm. It would be an amazing number! (And if they could ship that to the western US, I bet it would take care of a year's water needs for several states! :D )

We are predicted to get up to 30" of rain over the next two or three days. The Mayor of Charleston announced this afternoon that they are barricading the peninsula tonight and have set a curfew of 11 PM to 10 AM. We had off and on light rain most of the day but nothing serious by the time I got home this afternoon. I was really surprised at how many businesses were closed today when there was no real threat yet.

We had a 2 day (Sunday/Monday) total of 10" of rain in St. Petersburg from Debby. There was flooding in all the usual neighborhoods (storm surge and rain combined) and a few new ones this time (rain only).

How are things in Charleston now that the storm has moved out? Road closures, etc.? Planning on driving to Edisto Beach on Saturday and wondering if it would be wise to wait or cancel.

Charleston is OK. The usual places flooded and receded. Didn't venture out by car until yesterday when I drove over to Mt Pleasant and Daniel Island and had no problems even on a couple of streets which had flooded on day one and two. It was a beautiful day today with just two brief showers. For us, the most we had to do was lower our pool level on day one and two. We live on original high ground in the Historic District. I did feel bad for tourists in town as the mayor set a curfew for a couple of days/nights and just about everything shut down for three days, including most restaurants.
