I have deleted 2 posts that discuss the marijuana law, instead of the sign.

The marijuana law is a contentious social issue, and this topic has already been locked multiple times lately.

Great sign. Though it will probably also be stolen, since it's "almost" 420...

A thief is a thief. Straight or stoned. Grown-up or childish. There is much maturing to be done on all sides of the issue. Or sides of the highway. :)

The street signs on Corona Street in Denver used to be stolen regularly. I guess folks thought they made a good addition to their Corona Beer bar. We're on the west side of town now, nowhere near Corona Street, so I don't know if those signs are still popular souvenirs.

It looks like Colorado's Highway Department has a sense of humor, anyway. Good for them.

I would leave the 420 sign there with a tracking device. A few years in jail may stop others from stealing the sign.

When you think about what it costs us as taxpayers to keep a criminal in jail, I think this is a fine and clever solution, not to mention much more cost effective.

Better to catch a criminal before they commit a more serious crime. Cost should not affect safety of everyone.

Numbers Connotations

There are several numbers connotations and license plate abbreviations that take us "regulars" awhile to decipher.

Yea, we all know Friday the 13th, Halloween, etc.

After NO loss, wiped out with alley-himmers and cannot recall what "69" is!

Sure others will chime in.

Go Broncos.:banana::cheer:

Denise: Very slow typer and not aware of your post!

As I child of the 80's, I had absolutely no idea what 420 was in reference to.

I was once tempted to pilfer a sign near our house, at a grass median, that said, "do not drive on grass", though! :rolleyes:

Patri, this is a family forum, so I sent you a pm. ;)

:ignore::D
What kind of families do you all come from?
Obviously, I missed out on some lessons in my youth. I don't need any more responses to my question. LOL :wave:

This is by far the funniest thread on TUG in years.

In college, my roommate had one that said "Slow Down, Watch Out For Children"

There is a road named "High St." that I remember from back in the 70's. It always ended up elsewhere as it is near the dorms. Usually ended up at a kegger.

Was that in Bellingham, by any chance? High Street runs right up the hill toward WWU.
