I had company from January 24 to feb 23. I started feeling worn out on feb 22.
went to doctor on feb 25 with a bad cough. Got an injection of antibiotics, an injection of steroids, prescription for z pack, steroid pack, albuterol for my nebulizer, cough medicine, and a chest X-ray. Felt better but, Went back the next week because it started up again. Two shots again. Was okay and then it started up again. Got two more shots Friday of last week and a z pack. Felt better but started up again on Monday afternoon, and this is the fourth week.
I will call doctor tomorrow, totally congested, coughing, heaviness in chest. My lungs have been checked four times and an X-ray too. No fever but thermometer no longer works, and no more in the stores. I have been avoiding everyone. I have asthma and when I get sick, I have a hard time getting over it. So I am getting really worried.

Are there drive up testing sites in your area? I would say if your chest heaviness gets worse, you should go to the ER. The congestion could be masking other symptoms. Good luck.

I hope you feel better soon. Rest, water, chicken noodle soup. It's too late now to tell you avoid antibiotics ... big pharma runs the world so most doctors/patients take them. They weaken your immune system. Neither I nor my kids have ever taken them ... nor any other prescription ... and have never been sick.

If you have strep throat, better take antibiotics or you will get rheumatic fever and heart damage. Sometimes antibiotics are necessary.

Until you can reach your doctor, some suggestions ...

-drink lots of water
-use a humidifier and/or neti pot or nasal spray
-breathe in steam from hot shower
-try a warm compress on your face/chest
-gargle with warm salt water
-hot chicken broth or soup won't hurt ;)

Hope you can get some relief soon.

I had test for flu and strep, you know what’s left :(

After all they've tested and tried, you shouldn't have a problem getting that prescription to be tested and/or go to the ER. Good luck!

Did they ever test you for the flu? Zpack might not be strong enough and you might need a stronger antibiotic if it is bacterial. Call your doctors office now even if after hours. Most medical facilities have virtual appointments or doctors to call back. Being you have asthma I would’n’t wait until tomorrow. I hope you feel better soon.

I would get tested for corona just to be on the safe side, but having asthma makes things so much worse when you get something like you have.

If you don't have the flu and you don't have strep- what is left? Ask the doctor and or get to an urgent care center a test site or wherever you need to go. Heck- you could have pnemonia.

You definitely need to contact someone now that can give you expert medical advice. To most of us, it certainly sounds like you would qualify for testing. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

This is really a bad situation for you, but the date of the early onset could possibly rule out Corona (but don't blame you if you can tested for it to rule it out for sure). I would urge you to seek out another medical professional (New Doctor or New Nurse Practitioner) to assist in making an accurate diagnosis and prescribing the correct medicine.

I know this is easier said than done, but you certainly don't want to be suffering any longer,

I hope you are very successful in finding the issue and begin your recovery quickly!

I have a question- wouldn't getting the pneumonia vaccine help save lives with the corona virus since most people die of pneumonia if they have the virus?

Maybe consider the ER and get admitted before it gets crazy in the next few weeks. Especially if you feel the dread or doom.

Have you surveyed your "company" to see if everyone is OK? There may be a clue in their answers. Some people move on from a diagnosis without notifying others who might be concerned or affected. I got a call yesterday from a mother who had a birthday party for 3 Y/O twins 2 weeks ago. She wanted me to know that the twins had a case of CV in their day care facility. As I was waiting for my 7th chemo treatment (out of 12) I found myself gasping in disbelief. In looking back, I was never near the kids as I spent the day with their grandfather who has his own set of problems. No symptoms on my part, so no need to go crazy. I would quiz your guests.

Yes, in contact with all the visitors. All but my sister who is still down here are fine.
i have a weakened immune system. I seem to get sick if I do too much. We went a lot of places when the company was here. I spent a lot of time at home the last week of company because my son took the car all day. I got sick right after Christmas after my daughter’s family left, but got over it quickly. I have had these bouts of bronchitis before, and they last really long

I have asthma. I always get Biaxin (erythromycin) for chest infections which is drug of choice for pneumonia. My lungs usually look fine on xray, So much that they don't even send me anymore. Biaxin gets many microplasma infections. They only used Z pack when I was pregnant 20 years ago.
The good news is that if you had C-19, you're well into it and doing relatively well.
Have you had pertussis vaccine (dtap)? I had something similar to yours 5 years ago. Baixin got it a bit better but didn't knock it out and I was very weak. Dr. switched to doxycycline and I was 75% better in 24 hours--he said likely pertussis which B should've knocked out--but for a weird reason didn't when the D did. I did not have typical P cough.
bottom line, Dr. likely needs to try different antibiotic at this point. I assume he checks your O2 each visit?
