Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas Now Available for Vacation Purchase or Rental

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – December 4, 2008 – Sheraton Hotels & Resorts announced today the completion of a $20 million renovation of Sheraton Steamboat Resort, located in the heart of Steamboat Springs, now open and welcoming skiers as they kick off the 2008-2009 season. The property-wide transformation of the area’s only full service ski-in/ski-out resort features newly designed guest rooms, lobby, public and meeting spaces, as well as a new health and fitness program and menu for its signature restaurant. The comprehensive renovation of the Sheraton Steamboat is part of a brand-wide effort to revitalize the iconic Sheraton brand, which includes an investment of over $4 billion in new hotels, upgrading 100 hotels in the U.S. – nearly half its North American portfolio – renovating 50,000 guestrooms and re-designing more than 100 new lobbies.

Coinciding with the multi-million dollar resort renovation, the first phase of the new Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas opens today. Twenty-one new two- and three-bedroom luxury vacation villas, developed and managed by Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc., will be available for purchase or rental. Upon completion, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas will include 45 luxury villas.

“We are incredibly excited to showcase an entirely new guest experience through this comprehensive and exciting renovation of the Sheraton Steamboat Resort,” said John Curnow, General Manager, Sheraton Steamboat Resort. “From the new lobby and guest rooms, to modernized restaurant menus and health and fitness offerings – guests will see, feel and taste a new Sheraton Steamboat Resort, just in time for the start of the new ski season.”

Sheraton Steamboat Resort’s renovation includes a comprehensive re-design of each guest room, from the bed and bathroom, to furniture and entertainment. At day’s end, guests will rest and recharge in the most comfortable bed in the industry – the new “Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II” -- that boasts a luxurious mattress, a redesigned ensemble of all-white, 300 thread count pillow cases and sheets, and a new duvet. Armoires and workstation furniture complement comfortable, oversized leather chairs and ottomans for a clean, modern feel. Renovated bathrooms now feature a freestanding wood vanity with cream-colored stone top, softer side lighting and “Shine by Bliss,” a new bath amenities line created exclusively for Sheraton by Bliss.

In addition to the new design, each room has been upgraded with a new LCD flat panel television. Guests now have a front-row seat to high-quality, in-room programming through Scene@SheratonSM -- Sheraton’s exclusive in-room entertainment package, offering sneak previews and premier sports programming.

A key component of Sheraton Steamboat Resort’s lobby redesign is a new signature hotel offering: the “Link@Sheraton SM experienced with Microsoft®,” a unique lobby lounge that enables today’s travelers to stay connected with instant access to information and technology for work, leisure and social networking. The Link@Sheraton is designed to serve the needs of Sheraton’s core guests who are social individuals seeking to balance work and play while also sharing the travel experience with each other. Designed as a social destination, the Link@Sheraton invites guests to interact with each other while they check their email, research local attractions and even print boarding passes using free Wi-Fi and Internet-enabled computer stations – all with breathtaking views of the mountain.

Fitness enthusiasts can extend their workout off the slopes with Sheraton’s revolutionary new health and fitness program, “Sheraton Fitness, Programmed by Core Performance,” now available at Sheraton Steamboat Resort. Created in partnership with Core Performance, a training and lifestyle brand built by the experts who train professional athletes in every major sport, the program helps travelers train and eat healthy, as well as refresh, recharge and refocus their minds and bodies. The comprehensive offering features a state-of-the-art gym experience, healthy dining options, video on demand workouts and online training.

Sheraton Steamboat Resort’s renovation also includes an update to the menus for its signature restaurant, Sevens, and the 3 Saddles lounge. Executive Chef Jon Demel prepares an eclectic mix of classic favorites, such as certified angus New York strip steak and elk sirloin chili, and new entrees, including wine-braised bison short ribs, achiote marinated bone-in chicken breast and rack of wild boar. The warm, cozy space welcomes guests with overstuffed leather chairs and spectacular views of the ski area.

The new Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas are two- and three-bedroom units – offering magnificent mountain and valley views -- with a choice of three large floor plans. Each villa offers a modern, yet rustic, design, and is completely furnished with flat panel televisions in both the living room and master bedroom, two-sided gas fireplace, modern dining tables with seating for eight, stainless steel appliances -- including a full-size refrigerator with ice maker -- and a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. Each guest room has a full bath with a double or single vanity and shower/tub combo, while the master bathroom features double vanity sinks, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Rooms also feature the signature “Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II” bed with luxurious mattress, a redesigned ensemble of all-white, 300 thread count pillow cases and sheets, and a new duvet.

The Sheraton Steamboat Resort also renovated its golf course, which reopened as the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club in summer 2008. The Troon-managed, Robert Trent Jones II championship course received a complete irrigation system remodel, new sprinkler heads and an upgraded water supply system. Additionally, the course now boasts a new entrance, additional parking and the addition or renovation of tees at 14 of the holes.
