Staying 4 weeks or more Food & Drink Discount

Last year I was talking to an owner who was staying at a resort for 4 weeks and he told me that as they were staying so long they received 25% off all food and beverages - he had a name for it but I can't recall.

We were staying at Playa Andaluza in Spain at the time, so not sure if it specific to that resort or more widely available.

Anyone heard of something similar and is it automatically given?

Hi, yes I don’t know how widespread this is but also at Club Son Antem if you own 3+ weeks and stay for 3+ weeks on a single trip you receive various benefits and discounts.

I’ve stayed 4 consecutive weeks at Ko Olina, and never heard of anything like that there.

It should be automatic, based on actually staying 3+ Club Son Antem “home” resort weeks on a single trip.
in the past, we stayed for 2 weeks at a time a couple of times a year so didn’t qualify.

I’ve stayed 4 consecutive weeks at Ko Olina, and never heard of anything like that there.

Have never seen this at MKO and we stay months at a time. Must be a resort specific thing.

Just an update, when I posted this originally I wrote to the GM at Playa Andaluza and asked about staying for longer periods, he has responded and advised there are a few e.g.reduced drinks costs, bottle of wine that sort of thing. As mentioned by others this seems to be a resort specific benefit and possibly only European.

There's typically an owner's discount card you can ask for at check-in for most resorts, which gives you 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages purchases at the snack bars or marketplace. There is also usually a coupon book with things like a free coffee with a breakfast sandwich purchase, that sort of thing.

It seems the local discounts have decreased in the last couple of years from what I've seen. Typically it's much the same list you get to spend any credits for the timeshare presentations if one takes the cash option.
