Am I correct to assume if you are a Starwood owner, you must use only your Starwood unit to book in the priority period. not other TS you own?

If you have a mandatory resort or bought from the developer, you can use your options anywhere within the 0-8 window. In the 8-12 month window you can only use them for your season at your deeded/home resort. So if you own Silver in Myrtle Beach you can't get Gold there until 8 months out.

yes

(but that answer was too short so I am typing extra.)

you won't see or be able to book using non starwood weeks while an exchange is in the priority period in II.

Sorry I was nor clear, I was talking about priority for II trades.

The Instant Online Exchange priority period means that when you search with your Starwood deposit, you can "see" other Starwood timeshares in the online inventory 30 days before non-Starwood owners can see them. (In theory!)

If you search with a non-Starwood deposit, you may or may not be able to see Starwood deposits in the priority period, because the system is very inconsistent.

If you can see a Starwood deposit with a non-Starwood week, then you can make the exchange. If you can't see it - you can't make the exchange.
