Starwood merging with Marriott?

WorldMark since 1998 - Stayed at WM 61 resorts so far, but slowing down
Talking with a friend yesterday and reading the WSJ article, it appears the Starwood Chain of hotels may be merged into Marriott. If that happens, what happens to their respective timeshare operations? Has anyone heard? Thanks.
 
Marriott bought the hotel branch.

Interval bought the timeshare branch.

Neither transfer is complete, so we have no idea how things will shake out.
