The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas
The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort
I (w/ the wife and kids (D11/S15)) checked into WKV yesterday and was supposed to get the standard 1BR Villa. We had some unused SO's after a return from WKORV & WPORV in Sept. so we only booked this 2 months out. We had enough Options to get the Premium 1BR but there was no availability when we booked.
I was surprised and very pleased that they had upgraded me to the premium "based on availability" (and are not charging me the additional Options).
This is the second time (2 for 2) we've had a positive experience. With our trip in Sept we booked that less than 6 months out so I was concerned what we would get. When we arrived at WPORV it was late (~11PM) but it appeared I had a view of the parking lot. I was very upset (being an owner there) but thought I would fight the battle in the morning. Upon waking up I softened to the view we had and the wife and daughter really liked it. View of the golf course with the Ocean beyond. When we later hopped over to WKORV's I joked at the front desk that I hoped I didn't get another parking lot view. The girl got real quite and disappeared in back, then returned and stated they actually did have me with a lesser view but moved me to 2 units at the very end of the building by the beach, 2nd floor. The ocean/horizon view was blocked by the tree line but still a very nice view.
I'm assuming I shouldn't expect this as the norm? Maybe we're just easily impressed.
