Starwood Changing Other Rules?

There has been much discussion on Starwood changing 5* elite status rules without notification. My question is whether this has been the case with other rules? In particular, has Starwood ever changed the number of Staroptions allocated to each type of unit at locations such that after the change certain units/staroption allocations would not get you into the same units as before the change?

For example:
Pre change: 2BR WKV could trade into WSJ 2BR
Post Change: 2BR WKV could NOT trade into WSJ 2BR

They recently increased the number of Staroptions needed to get into WSJ and WLR, but I thought the changes were justified as the properties were undervalued in terms of Staroptions. It hasn't been something that happens frequently.

In your particular example, WKV 2BR could still go to WSJ 2BR, it just can't get into WSJ 3BR that might have been possible before the change.

The Owners Manual (CC&Rs) states that the SO value for resorts can be changed.

It was certainly justified (IMO) for WSJ.
