The Chair of the Board of Starwood, Bruce Duncan, is now also the CEO of First Industrial, a real estate investment trust (REIT) focusing on warehouses. It is not unusual for Board Chairs to have day jobs, although his track record running previous REITs is not strong.

What does that mean for Starwood in general? Not much on a day to day basis. The shareholders can decide if they want to keep him when his place on the board is up for re-election. But now you know where he is if you, as a HOT shareholder, want to get in touch with him. (I don't think he'd listen much if you're only a TS owner and not a shareholder).
