Came down for my fixed week here to find my unit is gutted (both the 39 and 40 buildings). Picture construction fences and very big dumpsters. These are the first buildings to be done and should be done within a month.

Decided an owner's update might be a good plan. Got a tour of a model unit done over in the 14 building. No more flowery furniture or pink walls. Or mauve rugs. And no special assessment. Maintenance fees going up to $815 from the $775, per owner's update salesperson.

LCD TVs everywheres, B-side granite kitchen countertops and cool green & blue paint. Rug is a tan plaid with green and blue stripes in a small pattern. Sofa is pale green and dining table chairs are white leather-style on black frames. MBR has a lucite panel on the drawers and more soothing cool colors. MBR bath has a glass tile countertop. Definitely a contemporary flavor. A-side has a much larger kitchette with a ~10 cubic foot refrigerator, 18" Dishwasher, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, and many more IKEA-style cabinets with a stainless steel sink and drainboard.

Other plans include ADDing a lazy river pool where the practice tennis courts are (behind the towel and pool toy stand). A nice and big lazy river.

I took a lot of pics - PM me with email address if interested.

Any idea where Unit 2424 is at Star Island?

Is there an elevator?

Has it been refurbished?

Thanks

Are the Wyndham units being refurbished also? We were there about 15 months ago and they were nice but this will make them even nicer.
