My family and I are heading to Ocean Oak in June. We have a standard 2 bedroom and usually call ahead of time to request our room. Where would the best ocean view be? Which building? What floor? What group of room numbers? I know we won’t call for awhile, but this vacation planning is one of the things that’s keeping me sane.

It depends what you are looking for. Give me some hints. I honesty have 2 regular 2 bds and I think that I am going to request 2610 and 2609.

I’m always looking for the best view. At Ocean Oak (or any ocean front property) the best ocean view.

'Best ocean view' depends. From in the room, from the balcony, over the top of the bar building. All very subjective. Building 2 has rooms that look directly toward the ocean, but it is set back.

Personally, I would request building 1, 1st, 2nd, or third floor. (I think the upper floors are the 'Plus' level rooms), room #6,7, or 8 - those are the closest to the ocean. Rooms 3,4,5 will be too much in the tree branches to give a great view.

I stayed in 1105 once and loved it. It was a reasonable view of the ocean from the living area and of course the balcony area. That's building 1, floor 1, and room 5. (1st floor is actually the second level) The first floor balcony juts out about 3 feet extra from the other levels which really adds to the view. Bonus there was the ability to only take one flight of stair up/down and avoid the elevators when things are busy. 2nd and third floor would have been ok also, but would be getting up into the branches of the big oak tree.

I do like a good balcony view. That’s what we prefer. I love getting up in the morning with my cup of coffee and soaking in the ocean. I also love to sit on my balcony in the evening watching the ocean fade from view with a glass of wine or drink and reflect on the day. All of this is accentuated with the great company I will be traveling with!

We have 4 rooms this week. 1 oceanfront, 1 plus and 2 regular rooms. I am staying at 1207 which is a regular 2 bR and we like the view. I would recommend room 7 on floors 3,4 or 5 in phase 1 which is close to the ocean

I have 2 units booked there a week+ beginning Friday 7/2 and Saturday 7/3.

My family is in a regular unit and my sister’s a plus unit (their stay is a little shorter) where would be good to request units where the plus and regular units could be close to each other?

Only the top floor is the plus rooms in building 1 on the wing (rooms 1601-1607). Room #8 in building 1 is ocean front corner room.

If you want a plus unit and a regular unit in the same floor then your option will be limited to phase 2, floors 4,5,6. Rooms 1-6 are plus units, rest are regular.
