I own a lockout at Bluebeards and have not used it since 2005. I am planning on going this yr but am getting a unit through RCI I am not going during my week. The only available unit is a studio what do you think my chances would be for Bluebeards to give me a 1 bedroom if one was available since I am an owner? Also I see they charge a per person utility charge do owners have to pay that also? Also anyone know if WIFI is availabe at the resort and is there a fee?

Going in March and looking forward to see how the resort looks back in the day we really enjoyed the castle

We were there in October and really enjoyed it. We own in Grand Cayman and exchanged into a studio. The room was very spacious with lots of storage available, but the kitchen did not have a stove or range top, only a microwave to cook. There was a good sized refrigerator to keep drinks and other items in. I understand the utility charge is charged to everyone, so I would assume to owners as well as other guests. We pay the utility charge when we use our unit in GC. The resort is in good condition and a lovely place to stay, but is definitely a fitness challenge. Don't know about getting an upgrade as we had more than enough credit for a 1 bdrm but all they had was a studio. Computer was available in the lobby, but they were working on getting WIFI to the units and had planned to have it done by the beginning of 2012. I would e-mail them and ask if you need to know ahead of time. They have ATT on the island, but not Verizon so the cell phone cost for Verizon is pricey. My husband booked dives through the resort and we were very pleased with the experience both with the shore dive and with the boat dive. I can't remember the names right offhand, but I'll check with my husband if you are interested. Hope you have a wonderful time.

The utility charge is not charged to owners but everyone else (renters, exchangers, etc)

Wifi is available for $24 for the week and is well worth it especially since I have no bars at the resort with Verizon. Verizon works as long as you have bars just be aware you could hit BVI towers if you go to St John.

They have remodeled buildings A and B and plan to remodel buildings C - G this summer.

Think the original poster is talking about the Castle from the last line comment made . But believe the advise is about the same both resorts. :)
