I have owned here for 2 years now and am here this week. I have some issues with maintenance of the pool and some complaints about housekeeping. There is no general manager available. He left LAST August and they still have not replaced him. Who should I address my complaints to in Marriott Corp???

I would forget about the issues, it's because they don't have a general manager, That's what needs to be address. Otherwise this little things won't ever get change or REALLY addressed.

Clearly someone must be in that position in an "acting capacity" while the search is conducted for a new GM. After all, the employees must have to report to someone, otherwise who would show up to work at all? You as an owner are likely paying someone for that coverage via your annual maintenance fees.

As for the pool and housekeeping, I would be tempted to deal directly with the managers of those departments prior to dealing with the GM or the acting GM.

Keep us posted!

You should call MVCI and ask who is the president of the HOA and contact them with your concerns.

For us, the resort has been missing the necessary level of committed management and standards since the earlier, excellent GM Pieter Knot moved on to Frenchmans Cove a couple of years back.
Hopefully Marriott's prompt appointment of a good, new GM will quickly resolve these issues.
I am sorry that you have had to suffer disappointment in the meantime.

I agree with the other comments - deal with the people responsible on the ground. I would guess that the pools are the responsibility of the Hotel rather than MVCI.

I am currently at Phuket Beach Club where there is an MVCI General Manager but the pools are the resonsibility of the Food and Beverage Manager at the JW Marriott - all staff at the three pools report to him. Also Housekeeping is run by the hotel and the service and staff report to the JW Marriott management. Any issue TS guests have are addressed by Guest Services in the JW Marriott.

The ownership of problems must always be complex where there is both a hotel and a TS resort as in St. Kitts and here in Phuket Beach Club but providing all understand their roles and responsibilities and work as a team there should be no gaps through which problems could fall.

I must say that if the Hotel and/or the MVCI TSesort have been without a GM since August that is very poor on the part of Marriott. A ship without a captain will soon run aground.

From a personal point of view - we will be there for two weeks on II exchange so I hope any problems get resolved ASAP.

In the 10 years since we first bought a MVCI we have had many, many stays at our home resorts and other trades. This is the very first time that I have ever had issues with any of the units we have stayed in. These are I am sure minor issues but to me they reflect a overall sloppiness in the way the resort is being kept and since (like all of us) I pay high fees to keep the resort up I feel that these sorts of things need to be brought to the attention of management.
If no one brings these issues up then obviously these sorts of things will continue to occur and probably continue to decline.

I agree entirely - without feedback there will be no improvement.
