I split my lock-off and reserved studio side.
Looks like plans may change and I was thinking of cancelling the reservation (it is for next year).

Since I have enrolled weeks, there were no fees.

So I am wondering if I can cancel the reservation?
What happens, does it go back to if I had not done anything?
Could I later decide to convert it to points?

Thanks.

You can can cancel it, however once you split it then you're stuck with it, and you can't place them back together to reestablish a full Villa.

That said, you now unable to convert it to MR or DC Points.

I would double check with a VOA.

I do not think this is correct. I believe that once you cancel it actually means cancel, which takes everything back to the way it was before you canceled. You could then split it again, use the whole villa, convert to points, etc.

I would agree. I don't see why once a reservation is canceled, why you can't exchange for DC points or MR points. In fact many people had reservations in 2011/2010 when DC first rolled out. Many canceled their owner reservations and converted to DC points.

The only caveat would be if you deposited one of the sides in to II. Once that is done, the only other option you have with the other side of the lock off is to deposit or use.
