Spirit is having another el cheapo sale .I just booked my airfare in June to the Bahamas for $0.00 they are only charging the taxes and departure fee. It came to 275 RT for 3 people. The closest fare from other airlines was 600+. I'm not checking any bags or assigning seats.I hope they manage to stay alive that long.

For that price differential, I'd be tempted.
But what I've read about their customer service makes me reluctant to fly this airline.
You may want to do some contingency planning in case of cancelled or missed connections.

I fly Spirit often and have been quite happy. Only once did they change my flight that was a total inconvenience. Now, traveling out of the country is a pain in the tush. ACY doesn't have customs, so I have to go through customs in FLL, which is about a 2-2.5 hour process, then recheck my bags and continue to ACY. They usually allow a 4 hour layover for FLL when coming in from outside the US. And I've never had a missing bag issue.

Spirit Airlines

We used to fly Spirit Airlines but over the last couple of years the litany of customer complaints against them grew to the point that we choose to not book with them anymore. They moved their call centre offshore and contracted it out so if you have to deal with their customer service people you may be very disappointed. Spirit Airlines has suffered a lot of bad press in the last couple of years so and this may be their way of trying to overcome their tarnished image but you have to wonder, with the realities of air travel these days, how long can Spirit afford to offer deals like this. If your vacation plans are not at stake here then take the deal and cross your fingers.

Spirit customer service is the pits I've dealt with them in the past.If we only take carryons thats half the battle. For the price I had to take a shot.Back up plan is Bahamas air they have routine flights that are inexpensive and always available.
