Does Spinnaker currently use RCI or II?
So
@GoPokes! This is where things get interesting. Technically you own a deed to property. CW owns the reservation system you will use in the future to utilize your deed.
If past is prelude, TNL will likely create a new trust or overlay program (similar to how Wyndham integrated shell systems in the past). You will be invited to a "mandatory owner update" next time you check in.
They will attempt to convert you to the points system, which would be 100% ok except for two big issues: 1) How will your week be valued, as you can see from the attachment they value weeks differently based on the week number. Will they actually give you the correct amount of points?
2) How much will they try to charge you, because, again based on past M&A, they charge for the courtesy of merging you into their system.
You can just say NO. But it will cause an issue because they can't force you but they can make accessing you week more difficult.
If it was me right now I would:
read the original contracts
download their current booking rules
secure proof of any promised booking priority before the systems are migrated
Then when forced into the "owner update" know your best alternative to negotiation (walking away IE Deed Back or just refusing to convert) and understand what that entails.
I would push them on the following:
1) negotiate down the conversion fee
2) demand higher promotional point values for your legacy weeks
3) Try to get maintenance fee waivers
When you do this though you must know what your options and levrage are.
Good luck!
